This is a “position statement” vlog for CS 404 about technology’s role in changing the world economy

The inspiration was largely drawn from Phil Windley’s “Productivity and The Distribution of Wealth.”

    It’s weird to see you doing a vlog. Yet at the same time…totally normal. How would you say the experience of vlogging compares to blogging, and are you planning to do more videos in the future?

    Doing a vlog was not as strange as I originally expected it would be. It’s a bit like writing a blog post in a little more conversational tone. For this one, I wrote it out and recorded each section, which allowed me to look straight at the camera and appear like I was just talking. Then I cut the various segments and compiled it all. It was pretty fun.

    I’ve considered doing vlogs in the future, but I’m not sure yet. I still prefer the medium of writing, but for some things a video is better. We’ll see.
